Merry Christmas

Thankful

Thanksgiving just passed, so I thought I would tell you a few things I'm grateful for...

~I am grateful for my family, ecspecially my parents who drive me all over the place & take care of me.

~I am grateful for education and knowledge. Even though I may not jump at the thought of doing math problems.

~I am grateful for my lovely friends who make me feel special, and happy (:

~I am grateful for my job!

~I am grateful for my church and the wonderful people in it! And going along with that, I am grateful for God and all he does.

~ I'm grateful to live in this country, where we have so many luxuries and freedoms. I've recently been reading "A Thousand Splendid Suns" and I just finished "The Kite Runner" and I have become truely grateful for woman's rights here in America.

~I am grateful for the life I've lived and the life I have ahead. I'm grateful for all the good experiences I've had and even the bad ones.

~I am grateful for little acts of kindness and small moments of love.

~I am grateful for my family history and old pictures and journals to remind me of the past.

~I am grateful for music. Just cause it's awesome and stuff.

~I'm grateful for food. Seriously. I love to eat.

~I'm grateful for red nailpolish.

~I'm grateful for my camera! And all the great times and pretty sights I can catch and keep forever.

~I'm grateful for snow. Too bad we still don't have any. Oh, I'm also grateful for changing seasons! I'd hate for it to be sunny and 70 all. year. long.

~I'm grateful for the Chirstmas season! & all the fun that goes along with that.

Basically, I am grateful for a lot of things, everything actually, and I just wanted to express that. Ecspecially during the holiday season, I am constantly reminded about how lucky I am, and how beautiful life is!

It seriously is!

Long time, No see

I have been neglecting my blog like crazy! I guess it has to do with getting a tumblr. But I decided tumblr just isn't the same.

Everything has been very crazy and very boring all at the same time. I've been doing the usually school and work thing, w/ some fun stuff thrown in.

This weekend my school's academic decathalon team almost got to states, but missed by the teeniest bit. We have another chance in Febuary, and I'm sure we'll kick butt. I joined acadec so I could put yet another thing on my college application, but I actually like it. Dork much.

So guys, it's almost the Christmas season! I am such a christmas nerd, you have no idea. I have watched Eloise at Christmastime at least 10 times already this month. I've had countless cups of hot chocolate. And christmas music, don't even get me started. Now we just need the christmas decorations to go up, and some lovely snow. Then my mood will be complete.

Well, I better get cracking on my studies! Salut!

P.S. It's national hug-a-mormon day apparently. I had no idea, but all my friends knew. So I come to school and had a tidewave of hugs thrown at me. Loved it!

Isn't it annoying when people ask you if you think they're annoying?

Also, did you know Blockbuster is like out of business because Netflix is taking over the world. Just a little tid-bid of information I came across today.

On as side note, I am completely lacking the motivation to do my homework, so I might just turn in early. Goodness knows I need the sleep. I was totally loopy today.

Hey There

So anyways, my head is exploding.

To. Much. Stress.

I just got new pillows, that are EXTREMELY soft & I cannot wait to rest my head on them tonight. I loveeeee sleeping! I really really do!

What is so stressful about my life might you ask?

Ok, here's a list..

~Seminary (a.k.a I wake up at 4:45 to take a church class every morning)

~School: Chem's a killer, & AP English is no picnic either.

~ My Job: I work at Hallmark & I love it, I'm just afraid I'm going to screw up or do something stupid.

~I'm starting driver's ed next week. Kill me.

This is just a shortened verison of my stress-related stuff.

This sure has been a "woe is me" post. Sorry guys.

My life is actually pretty amazing actually. I have good friends, good family, good times, good...lots of things. I just needed to vent (:

I think this time of year is magical. On the other hand, I think most things are magial. Welcome back Fall!

Life

Dude, where can I get these rad glasses?
So, I've be crazy busy! Here's what I've been up to:

~ I got a job at Hallmark! And I've been training for that.

~I dyed my hair red! "Dark Intense Auburn" to be exact.

~I've been working on a grandparent journal. Basically I ask my grandparents a bunch of questions about themselves and record it in a journal. I am very excited about it!

~So, I joined academic decathlon because I'm a nerd like that, and it is a lot of studying and work!

~Classes are pretty crazy this year. I suck at Chem, big time. And math isn't a picnic either. A.P. English is tough, but I'm learning a lot. And I don't mind French and History. Still, junior year is the worst!

~Sleep is small to nonexistent in my life. And I really wish there were more hours in the day.

~ OK, the coolest thing. I went to the doctors and instead of giving me a flu SHOT, they gave me flu NASAL SPRAY. It was so much better than getting a shot.

~I went to my best friend's surprise party & it was amazing! She was SO surprised.

~My friend and I sent a care package to our friend who moved away this year, and I think she's really gonna like it. Hint- it contains Beatles t-shirt, candy, Japanese stuff, & of course, a Morgan Freeman movie. (Her nickname is Morgan Freeman.)

So, yeah. All in all, life's been pretty good.

This video is crazy. It really brings out the truth about what we compare ourselves to. We are always comparing ourselves to these women that aren't even REAL. They're computers. This video is great, everyone should watch it and stop feel sorry that they don't look like the women on the billboards. Who wants to look like a computer generated supermodel? Not me.

Well, I'm sick. Like everyone else. But I'm not going to let that bring me down!

I've been feeling kind of blue, but also kind of good. I absolutely love this weather. It is the best time of year. I cannot wait until the leaves change color and until I can go apple picking! I love fall! I can't say it enough.

I just adore this lovely wallpaper! I cannot wait until I have my own home or apartment so I can decorate!

Well, the stress is setting in. A.P. English is not going to be as easy as I thought. My brain turned to mush over the summer, and now I'm paying for it. It's not all that bad actually, I'm just overthinking and making myself crazy. The usual.

To all my Mormon buds, I just got every book in "The Work and The Glory," or whatever it's called. I'm pumped to read it because I've heard such great things about it.

Also, I have really been groovin' to The Mamas and The Papas. I'm such an oldies geek, it's ridiculous.


So last night I watched Anne of Green Gables; the Continuing Story and bawled my eyes out. Every since I was little I've loved the series, books and movies, but this last movie is so good. Watch it. I need to visit Prince Edward Island someday because it looks like the most beautiful place.

Anyways, that's my life. Hope yours is going good!

Blog Makeover

I decided to give my little blog a little makeover. I'm the kind of person who changing the song in the middle, and who can not stand the same thing for to long. So it was time for a spruce! Hope you like it!

So life has been pretty awesome recently! I had a job interview yesterday, and I think I'm almost definitely gonna get it! School's fine, just the same old same old.

"On the Road" by Jack Kerouac reminds me of "Catcher in the Rye" by J.D. Salinger. Which is one of my favorite books! So I think I'm gonna like it.

New music I found? Florence + the Machine. Love it.

OH! Big news! I can't remember if I wrote about getting my permit, but a couple of weeks ago, I FINALLY got it! But anyways, the news is that I drove on the real road for the first time last weekend with my Dad. It was a crazy experience!

I cannot describe to you, how much I truely love this time of year. Autumn is the best, for so many reasons. I love every season actually, but right now I'm diggin' autumn.

Tomorrow's the first football game of the season (I think?) I'm not a big sports person, but I am a band geek. A proud one!
